The history of Hizavi
1970s
Hizavi story begins in Manchester, at the Envato, the city’s LineThemes School of Architecture, where founding partners Tung Phan & John Doe first met.
1990s
After moving to London and setting up Hizavi in 1994, Tung Phan & John’s early commissions involved remodelling the library at the Royal College of Art, and designing a new Women’s Library in east London.
2000s
Articulating a formal architectural language anchored by a conceptual narrative is at the heart of Hizavi work. Bringing valuable new perspectives, Harry Potter joined Hizavi during this time, having spent time studying at Stanford and Harvard.
2010s
2020s
As a collaborative of diverse and radical thinkers and designers, Hizavi draws on the deep roots and principals of its founders, while innovating constantly to bring positive change to the built environment.
